Mt. Aggie!

Colby had another birthday party to go to today at Mt. Aggie. You should hear the yelling and cheering when I tell him that a party is at Mt. Aggie. The kids have a blast sledding down watered down astroturf. Today was really windy and I don't know how those kiddos could keep going up and down as sopping wet as they were. Colby had a fantastic time as you can see!!!

A day in the life of Holden...

Holden truly has quite the personality (or as my friend says, she has great spirit!) and keeps us laughing at what she comes up with next. Colby is our serious, deep-thinker but Holden is our, how do I say it nicely, wolf in sheep's clothing! Here are just a couple of funny things that Holden did today...

In our living room, we keep all of the "woobies" (i.e., blankets) in a cabinet that everyone can reach. Holden used this area as her own relaxation spot this morning!

She was going golfing with Mike this morning but got all bent out of shape that she didn't have "golf shoes". I convinced her that the shoes I was trying to get her to put on were golf shoes and that we needed to hurry and go fix her hair. Well, once the hair was fixed, she insisted on a Scooby Doo band-aid over her left eye. This is the second time in a week that we've accessorized with band-aids!

Once she returned from golfing with the boys, she was sitting at the table coloring. I realized that it had been awfully quite and when I went to check on her, she was asleep. Aaaahhh!

First night in the "big girl" bed!

Thursday was the official "big girl" bed day! For the last few nights, Holden had been sleeping most of the night on her crib mattress on the floor in her room (and the rest of the night in our bed!). But on Thursday, her big girl bed was delivered and she was very excited! She was a bit hesitant at first, but then she excitedly jumped under the covers. Her eyes were as big as saucers! She only came to our room once the first night and last night she stayed the whole night! Way to go Holden - you are becoming a big girl!

Over the weekend, Mike painted Holden's room "Pretty As A Princess" pink! As you can see, it's quite electrifying! We're hoping it doesn't look as bright once her furniture is in it! Her new big girl bed arrives on Thursday - let's hope that transformation goes smoothly!

The Harlem Globetrotters!

Colby and Dillon were guests of Dillon's Aunt Amy at the Harlem Globetrotters on February 6th at Reed Arena. They had court side seats and as you can see from the pictures, they had a grand time! When Amy pulled up with the boys and opened the car door, it looked like two Globetrotters were about to get out of the car!

Beginning last month, Holden started taking gymnastics. She was a bit hesitatant her first day but has since looked forward to "nastics"! Her favorite part is the trampoline and doing roll overs - it's just the cutest thing ever!

This commercial for Mike's bank was shot on December 13, 2007 - the day that Colby turned 6 and just a few hours before Holden was admitted to the hospital! It seems like this was eons ago! It will start airing on Sunday during the 10pm news...
